History beyond the classroom
Visiting the Allied Museum with school classes
Berlin is full of places to learn about history outside the classroom. However, only the Allied Museum is dedicated to the history of the Western powers stationed in the city from 1945 to 1994. Important chapters in the history of postwar Berlin and the Cold War are illuminated here from an international perspective.
You can choose an overview tour of the permanent exhibition or more information on individual themes. Pupils in Grades 4 and up are invited on a journey back in time to the Berlin Airlift. After the tour, children can make their own “chocolate parachutes”.
